I'm presenting a solo investigation that continues the work I had been researching for about two years, now, tonight, at West Chester University's Winter Dance Concert.
The theme of the concert is "Dancing on Air" and refers to the radio. When I was approached with this concept and challenged to create a work that surrounded the radio, I was slightly confused. After a period of reflection, I realized that the work I had been researching was relevant. The body is a transmitter of information.
The re-investigation of my previous work is exciting. The information lies deep within my cellular consciousness and is so knitted into my kinesthetic knowledge that the movement seems as natural as breathing.
I have time and space to really live inside of the work and investigate the honesty of performance. It's quite an exciting place!
